Phase I completed. Phase II construction work has been approved by City Council. Phase II work will begin in February 2025. Front door of City Hall will be closed until July. The temporary entrance will be the backdoor in the subbasement.

Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) continues to value engineer the project to get the project within budget. Design Development plans were reviewed by the city and comments were sent back to the design team in December 2023.

The kickoff for this project was March 1, 2023. The preservation team, including Ethos Preservation and Architectural Collaborative, have been working on existing conditions recordation and assessments of City Hall, more specifically the entrance lobby, rotunda, stairwell, municipal archives office, and Council chambers which all fall under the scope of work. A contract for a construction-manager-at-risk (CMAR) was approved by the City Manager early May and the team of Garbutt Construction/Landmark Preservation will join the project team in June of 2023.
