Palm trees were added between Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Ogeechee Road. Also, the plans for landscape improvements to the medians between Sadler Street and Ogeechee Road were submitted to Georgia DOT for review. Upon approval we will proceed with bidding out the work.

Underperforming plant material removed from between the palms in the medians west of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Irrigation installation in progress and will begin new plant installation, replacement of missing palms and mulching to be completed in July.

Water taps have been installed and piping bored to connect medians west of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Looking to begin irrigation work and award a contract for plant installation by end of April.

To date we have completed installation of irrigation, sod, replacement palms, shrubs, perennials and hardwood mulch from Downing Avenue to Bull Street. West of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard we have bored pipe to connect the medians where necessary for irrigation purposes and are looking to complete the irrigation and award a contract for plant installation first quarter of 2019.

To date we have completed installation of irrigation, sod, replacement palms and most all plant material from Downing Avenue to Bull Street. We have also installed hardwood mulch in the medians from Waters Avenue to Bull Street, with plans to top dress the stretch from Downing Avenue to Waters Avenue with the same hardwood material. We have received GDOT approval regarding temporary irrigation within the medians of West Victory and are hoping to award the work for installing the irrigation and plant material in the fourth quarter of 2018.

To date we have completed installation of irrigation, sod, replacement palms and all plant material from Downing Avenue to Bee Road. The installation of the irrigation and sod from Bee Road to Waters Avenue is completed, and all that remains in this section is the planting of the final median east of Waters Avenue and mulching two medians. Work was done at the Atlantic Mall intersection of the median to include irrigation system improvements and the installation of sod, plants and mulch. We have received bids to mulch the medians from Waters Avenue to Bull Street and plan to begin work within two weeks of approval, with the plan to begin installing missing and additional Azaleas throughout the corridor afterwards. We have received GDOT approval regarding temporary irrigation within the medians of West Victory and are awaiting bids for installing the irrigation and plant material. Once bids are received and approved we will move forward with this section.

The installation of irrigation and sod from Truman Parkway to Bee Road began with the remaining medians in this section to be completed by the end of April. We are currently working on grading and irrigation work between Bee Road and Waters Avenue, with about 90% of irrigation repairs having been completed to date, with the plan to begin installing missing and additional Azaleas throughout the corridor next. We are awaiting GDOT approval regarding the details for temporary irrigation within the medians of West Victory, taking into account the proposed intersection improvements form Hopkins Street east to Ogeechee Road. Once an agreement is reached we will move forward with installing the irrigation and plant material.

We have completed installation of irrigation, sod and endcap plant material from Downing Avenue to Skidaway Avenue and have been working on the medians from Skidaway Avenue to Bee Road. The scope of work has involved removing excess concrete, amending the soil, grading the sites, and installing irrigation systems. Within this stretch we have completed the median between Wallin Drive and the Truman Parkway to include plant material and mulch. We are still working with the Georgia Department of Transportation regarding the details for temporary irrigation within the medians of West Victory, taking into account the proposed intersection improvements from Hopkins Street east to Ogeechee Road. Once an agreement is reached we will move forward with installing the irrigation and plant material. Starting in January we plan to install the turf grass from just east of Wallin Drive to just west of Bee Road as well as begin the installation of the Azaleas in the areas which have already been irrigated and sodded.

The current work east of Skidaway Road nearing completion and additional irrigation repairs have begun within other median segments to the west. We are working on finalizing the plans and specifications for the enhancements west of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard as well as between Skidaway Road and Victory Manor Place, with intentions to bid out the first quarter of 2018.

Plans for median enhancements were approved by Georgia Department of Transportation and the Palm trees have been pruned along the corridor. A contract for the installation of a new automated irrigation system and turf grass between Skidaway Road and Downing Avenue was awarded and work has begun on the irrigation installation.
